Tamar Harel Adar received her PhD in biotechnology engineering from Ben Gurion University of the Negev in Israel for which she was awarded the “Barenholz” prize for Innovation in Applied Research for developing liposome-based-immunomodulation of macrophages for myocardial infarction treatment. Tamar has 15 years of experience in tissue engineering, regenerative medicine, and cell therapy, and specializes in translational medicine and the development of multidisciplinary-based technologies. Harel Adar is the VP of R&D at Matricelf and leads the development of engineered autologous neural tissue derived from induced pluripotent stem cells as a novel therapeutic for spinal cord injury. Tamar was elected one of “The Marker’s” 40th most promising youngsters under the age of 40 and 9th in “Lady Globes’” 50th influential Israeli women (2011).
