Tenneille Ludwig currently serves as the Director of the WiCell Stem Cell Bank overseeing the banking, distribution and core services operations at WiCell. Dr. Ludwig obtained a Ph.D. from the Univeristy of Wisconsin–Madison in 2001. Her subsequent with Dr. James Thomson (2001-2007) resulted in the first defined, feeder-independent culture system for human embryonic stem cells (TeSR/mTeSR). She currenlty works with several international groups (ISCI, ISCBF, hPSCreg, ISSCR) focused on developing standards for hPSC quality Dr. Ludwig's focus remains collaborating to refine consensus standards for banking and characterization of hPSCs, and working to support hPSC technology translation through clinical trial.
