IRB Barcelona - Institute for Research in Biomedicine, Spain
Indranil Singh, a third-year Ph.D. student at IRB Barcelona, Spain, is a Marie Sklodowska-Curie co-fund fellow under the mentorship of Dr. Alejo Rodriguez-Fraticelli. His research focuses on developing innovative lineage-tracing methods and exploring the role of epigenetic memory in stem cell fate decisions.
During his PhD studies, Singh pioneered the development of EPI-Clone, a novel technique utilizing targeted single-cell DNA methylation to characterize cell states and clonal identities. Additionally, he contributed to the creation of scTRAACK (single-cell Tracking of Recombinase Activation and Clonal Kinetics) to investigate stem cell heterogeneity in leukemia within Dr. Rodriguez-Fraticelli's lab.
With a transgene-free approach, Singh's work provides valuable insights into epigenetic memory, cellular differentiation, and clonal identity in native hematopoiesis, offering potential applications in clinical settings.
