Dr. Anupama Hemalatha is currently a postdoctoral researcher at Yale Genetics and incoming junior group leader at Friedrich Miescher Institute (FMI), Basel, Switzerland (starting Jan 2025). During her post-doc, Anupama developed methods to track the metabolic state of mouse skin stem cells over time in vivo to capture the spatio-temporal metabolic changes that enable oncogenic mutations to be ultimately tolerated in the skin. In her lab, Anupama intends to dissect how growth factor signaling interfaces with cellular metabolism in space and time in oncogenic contexts and during normal development, through live imaging.
