Rosario Isasi, J.D., M.P.H., is an Associate Professor of Human Genetics at the Dr. J. T. Macdonald Foundation Department of Human Genetics at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine and Adjunct Professor of Law at UM School of Law. Her research focuses on the socio-ethical and policy dimensions of disruptive technologies (e.g., genomics and regenerative medicine). She is internationally recognized as an expert in international comparative law, bioethics and health disparities. She holds many national and international leadership roles, including as co-chair of the Ethics Committee of the International Society for Stem Cell Research and the American Society of Human Genetics’ Professional Practice & Social Implications Committee, as well as Ethics Advisor of the European Commission’s European Human Pluripotent Stem Cell Registry.
