Anchel de Jaime-Soguero is a postdoctoral fellow interested in cellular integration of molecular signals across lineages. During his PhD in the lab of Prof. Lluis (KU Leuven-Belgium), he focused on the pleiotropic functions played by transcriptional Wnt signaling in pluripotency and extraembryonic cells. In 2019, he joined the laboratory of Prof. Sergio Acebron at COS Heidelberg, where he has deciphered how developmental signaling cascades link genome maintenance to stem cell identity. Building on his expertise using early stem cell models, he studies how morphogens directly impact genome and chromosome stability across cell division, beyond their well-described roles in embryo patterning and fate acquisition. He received an Alexander von Humboldt Fellowship, and was recently elected as the Young Marsilius Fellow in Life Sciences at Heidelberg University.
