Marieke van Leeuwen is a PhD student at the Department of Developmental Biology at Erasmus University Medical Center in Rotterdam, Netherlands. She obtained her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in biomedical sciences from the University of Amsterdam. At Erasmus MC, Marieke has been working under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Joost Gribnau. Her research primarily focuses on applying the novel cell state tracing technique to study the renewal of the small intestinal epithelium and its application to human induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs).
