Factor Bioscience Inc., USA
Ian is a passionate researcher investigating stem cell-derived immunotherapies to treat solid tumor cancers. With years of experience differentiating reprogrammed iPSCs into immune cells, he spearheads the development of Factor Bioscience’s macrophage therapies and immune cellular engineering strategies. This work has culminated in two conference presentations, including at ISSCR’s annual meeting this year. Ian studies the synergistic roles that multi-cell type therapeutic strategies can play in eliciting a cascading immune response to inflammatory disorders, and how we can take advantage of Factor Bioscience’s mRNA gene editing strategies to enhance these efforts. He graduated from Northeastern University with B.S. degrees in Bioengineering and Computer Science, lives and works in Boston, Massachusetts, as an Associate Scientist at Factor Bioscience, and enjoys running, hiking, photography, and squash.
