Norman completed his PhD trying to delineate the phenomenon of remote ischaemic preconditioning and its implicit link with age at the University of Melbourne and Murdoch Children’s Research Institute in Melbourne, Australia. He then embarked on an extensive PostDoc in Göttingen, Germany working on cardiac disease modelling, regeneration mechanisms and embryonic development utilising (induced and embryonic) pluripotent stem cells and tissue engineering approaches. Since 2021, he has been based in Berlin, Germany where he established the iPSC Platform at NUVISAN ICB GmbH and leads a team of incredible scientists who realise daily that iPSC-derived cells are indespensible within the drug discovery pipeline.
