Kriti Kalpana, Ph.D. is a Staff Scientist at the New York Stem Cell Foundation, where she is developing novel methodologies for integrating iPSC-derived microglia into 3D organoid models to study neurodegeneration. In collaboration with the National Stem Cell Foundation, she has contributed to two successful space missions sending organoids modeling multiple sclerosis and Parkinson’s disease to the International Space Station to study the effects of microgravity on CNS cells. She has a Master of Science degree in Biotechnology from VIT University, India, and a PhD in Biochemistry from the Graduate Center of City University of New York. Passionate about advancing scientific knowledge, Kriti is dedicated to unraveling the complexities of brain diseases and contributing to the scientific community through her research endeavors.
