Jessica Pham is a senior laboratory researcher and the first Stellar Mission Specialist at the UC San Diego Sanford Stem Cell Institute under Principal Investigator, Dr. Catriona Jamieson, MD, PhD. Under the leadership of Dr. Jaimeson, Jessica is committed to redefining regenerative medicine by studying the effects of Low Earth Orbit (LEO) on normal and malignant stem cells. To date, Jessica has successfully launched 7 biological payloads to the International Space Station in the hopes of developing models of human pre-cancer to better understand, predict, and mitigate disease progression. As lab manager, she also mentors future scientists, fostering innovation and discovery.
