Hans Schöler is Managing Director of the Max Planck Institute for Molecular Biomedicine in Münster, Germany; Adjunct Professor at the University of Pennsylvania, USA; Distinguished Professor at the UNIST and the Konkuk University, both in South Korea. He started his own laboratory in 1991 at the European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL) in Heidelberg. His research interests include the mammalian germline, pluripotency and multipotency, as well as derivation of germ cells from pluripotent stem cells.
