Josefine Rågård Christiansen holds a Master's degree in molecular medicine from Aarhus Univeristy, Denmark. She is currently a PhD fellow in the Kirkeby group at the Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Stem Cell Medicine (reNEW), University of Copenhagen, Denmark. Prior to returning to academia, she held a position as research scientist in Cell Therapy R&D at Novo Nordisk, where she was involved in the development of pluripotent stem cell-based cell therapy products, in particular playing a leading role in the analytical development for the STEM-PD trial for Parkinson's disease. Her research focuses on neurodegenerative diseases, specifically using pluripotent stem cells for development of CNS cell replacement therapies and in vitro disease models.
