Elisa earned her B.Sc. and M.Sc. at the University of Trento and completed her master thesis at the Ludwig-Maximilians University in Munich. After a research stay at FAU Erlangen (2020), she joined the Genomics, Stem Cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine Group to pursue her PhD under the supervision of Prof. Frank Edenhofer at the University of Innsbruck in summer 2021. Her research interests include modeling aging in 2D and 3D neural systems to improve our understanding of early aging mechanisms and the interconnection between epigenetic changes and DNA damage in neuronal cells.
