Eugenia Piddini is a cell and developmental biologist. She interested in understanding how cell compete for space in tissues and how cell competition can be manipulated to slow tissue colonisation of cancer cells and to promote the repopulation of tissues by stem cells in regenerative medicine. After a PhD at EMBL, Heidelberg (Germany) and a postdoc at the NIMR, London (UK), she started her group in 2010 at the Gurdon Institute (University of Cambridge). In 2017 she moved to the University of Bristol’s Department of Cellular and Molecular Medicine (UK), where she is Professor of Cell Biology and School Research Director. Eugenia is a Wellcome Trust Senior Research Fellow.
